Minor connections connect the greenway trail to adjacent amenities and provide access points to the greenway from the surrounding neighborhoods.
- Minor connections extend out from and create access to the greenway trail – they are secondary and the movements along the greenway trail take precedence. Typically the greenway trail material should be distinct from that of the minor connection.
- 6’-0” radii typical at connection point.
- While other configurations such as “Y” intersections may be desired or needed, it is preferable to limit the overall amount of pavement in order to keep costs low and simplify user interactions and turning movements.
