In the Mississippi River Plastic Pollution Initiative 2021 Science Report, approximately 28,540 litter items were logged in St. Louis with 74% being plastic. This hugely impacts our waterways, community, and region, so let’s team up at the Gateway Arch National Park Riverfront to clean up our Mighty Mississippi River.

Recruit your friends and family members and join us in lending a helping hand and cleaning up the riverfront.

Please dress for the appropriate weather and wear long pants and closed-toed shoes.
We recommend you bring a water bottle- all other required supplies and snacks will be provided.

Registration is required. To register, click the button below.

This riverfront cleanup is a collaboration between:
Gateway Arch National Park, Gateway Arch Park Foundation, Beyond Plastics, Republic Services, Missouri River Cities and Towns Initiative, Missouri Stream Team, Great Rivers Greenway, Bi-State Development, Living Lands & Waters, St. Louis Aquarium Foundation, and the City of St. Louis.
