Mississippi Greenway Sunset and Snowcones

Enjoy a free snowcone and watch the sunset over the Mississippi Greenway. Please note that access to Chain of Rocks Park is available from the Missouri side only while the Canal Bridge in Illinois is closed. Optional 2 mile group walk/run on the greenway with STL Run Crew. Registration coming soon.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CONSTRUCTION DETOURS!

This sounds complicated, but it’s not! Just FYI in advance.

The eastbound and westbound I-270 exit ramps to Riverview Drive are temporarily closed due to construction. Detour information below:

If you are traveling on eastbound I-270 trying to get to Chain of Rocks Park:

• Take the Lilac exit 33 (the exit before Riverview).
• Go south on Lilac Ave for 1.5 mile then turn left on Chambers Rd.
• Continue on Chambers Rd for 0.9 then turn left on Riverview Dr.
• Continue on Riverview Dr. for 1.6 mile and Chain of Rocks Park will be on your right.

If you are traveling on westbound I-270 trying to get to Chain of Rocks Park:

• Take the Lilac exit 33 (the exit after Riverview Dr.)
• Turn right (north) on Lilac Ave for 235 feet, then turn right (east) on Dunn Rd.
• Continue east on Dunn Rd. for 1.1 mile to Riverview Dr.
• Turn right (south) on Riverfront Dr.) and continue for .3 mile on Riverview Dr. and Chain of Rocks Park will be on your left.

The I-270 on-ramp from Riverview Drive to westbound I-270 is closed. Follow detour signs from Riverview Dr. to Dunn Road to Lilac. You can enter I-270 east or westbound from Lilac.

The I-270 on-ramp from Riverview Drive to eastbound I-270 is OPEN.
