Join us at Harris-Stowe State University to celebrate the Market Street segment of the Brickline Greenway, which begins construction later this summer! This greenway will run between St. Louis CITY SC’s CITYPARK Stadium at 22nd St. and Harris-Stowe State University at Compton Ave. It will also include extensions of Damon Davis’ Pillars of the Valley, a permanent art installation to commemorate the Mill Creek Valley neighborhood.

3:30- 6:30pm: Free food, fun activities, live DJ and student performances!

Great Rivers Greenway holds our monthly board of directors meetings on the second Tuesday of the month. These meetings are open to the public and held in our board room located at 3745 Foundry Way, Suite 253, St. Louis, MO 63110. The meetings begin promptly at 11:30 am and last anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the number of agenda items and discussion. Meeting minutes and agendas from previous meetings can be found here.

You are welcome to join us! If you wish to speak during open time at the monthly board meeting, please sign up on the sheet in the back of the room prior to the 11:30am start time. If you will be attending the meeting online via Zoom or calling in, please fill out this form by 5pm the day prior to the meeting. (By providing this information, we will be able to look for you on the Zoom or if you are calling in.)

Lower Trailhead At Cliff Cave County Park

Join Great Rivers Greenway and St. Louis County Parks for a one-hour tour of the greenway and the chance to step inside the entrance to the cave. The greenway tour will be lead by Great Rivers Greenway and a St. Louis County Park Ranger will talk about the cave. Tours at 9:30am, 11am, 12:30pm, and 2pm. 1 mile walk includes 60′ incline on paved and natural surface trails. Group size limited. Registration is free and required. Click here to register.

Hear the stories of locals such as Civil War veteran Benjamin Oglesby who is now the namesake of an area park, one person’s escape that almost caused a war with Canada, and the nine people who fled for freedom at this very location. The North Connector will connect Fairground Park to many other destinations and to the rest of the project at Lindell Blvd. The goal is for the greenway to serve the current neighbors, connect people and places and invite new visitors and opportunities. To get to the lower trailhead from Telegraph Road:
Turn onto Cliff Cave Road going east (across from Baumgartner Road, between Valvoline and Circle K)
Cliff Cave Road will curve to the left then to the right. Continue for 1.7 miles going past the St. Louis County Transportation lot, the quarry, and the upper trailhead.
You’ll go beneath the greenway bridge and the road will curve to the left. Then you’ll cross over the railroad and the road will curve to the right. End at the parking lot next to the park pavilion.
