COLLABORATIVE CDC FORMS TO SUPPORT AREAS ALONG NORTHERN PART OF BRICKLINE GREENWAY
The Brickline North Community Development Corporation (BNCDC) was incorporated in August as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to empower individuals and neighborhoods served by the Brickline Greenway’s North Connector, namely Covenant Blu-Grand Center, Jeff-Vander-Lou (JVL), and St. Louis Place. It was signed into existence by representatives from each of the three neighborhoods it will serve, alongside T. Christopher Peoples, Director of Equity + Economic Impact for Great Rivers Greenway.
Project Location
This 0.8 mile segment will go along Spring Avenue between Page and Lindell Blvds. connecting destinations along the way including schools, hospitals, resource centers, businesses and arts and entertainment venues. This is a continuation of the North Connector which provides access to Fairground Park via North Grand Blvd.
Future Phases
This segment will continue the greenway south through St. Louis University’s campus, past City Foundry STL and turn into a bridge that goes between the two decks of eastbound and westbound I-64/40 to connect to the Grand MetroLink Station.
Project Status
Current Status
This section of greenway is well into the design phase. Design will be complete in summer of 2025 and the segment will go into construction during the first half of 2026.
