Project Overview
The vision for Centennial Greenway is to create a regional link between St. Charles County, St. Louis County and the City of St. Louis, connecting 370 Lakeside Park, Katy Trail State Park, Creve Coeur Park and Forest Park. Currently, there is a renewed effort to advance numerous Centennial Greenway segments to achieve the grand vision, including the nearly three-mile segment between Creve Coeur Park and I-270 in unincorporated St. Louis County.
Great Rivers Greenway is partnering with St. Louis County on an extension of Centennial Greenway in unincorporated St. Louis County between I-270 and Creve Coeur Park. An alignment for Centennial Greenway between I-270 and Creve Coeur Park was under consideration in 2008, however, there were numerous challenges in advancing the project at that time. With new partnerships and growing momentum to complete Centennial Greenway, the greenway design is ready to be revisited.
Project Location
This extension will stretch almost 3 miles between Creve Coeur Park and I-270.
