How We WorkGreat Rivers Greenway is able to have a bigger impact because of the incredible efforts of volunteers – join us!
Whether you’re serving on a committee or out in the field, one time or all the time, we appreciate your service to the region. Volunteers who contribute 10 hours or more each year will be recognized in the Friends of Great Rivers Greenway program. Get started right now or browse our 3 kinds of volunteering:
Give Back on the Greenways
Get out in the field to help activate and take care of the greenways. Most opportunities are for all ages, with an occasional event for ages 13 and up.
Help Out On Your Own
Want to volunteer on your own? Whether you’re online, reporting something from your last greenway visit or joining the efforts to inform the greenway plans and designs, explore your options.
Further Our Mission
Our trained Ambassadors (18 years old & up) complete at least 4 assignments per year, helping our staff team increase impact.
