Event Details
This event is hosted by others, but is along the route of the Centennial Greenway: Heman Park to I-170 project!
Join U City in Bloom and partners to improve your community through conservation. Wilson Avenue was devastated by a horrific flood in 2008. Lives were lost and many homes destroyed. Since then, invasive bush honeysuckle has taken over the riverbanks and trees on this neglected land. Help us show our citizens we have not forgotten this tragedy by converting this lost green space into a beautiful parkland.
What to wear:
- Dress for the weather! Long pants and sleeves, sturdy shoes or boots, wear sunscreen and/or a sun hat.
What to bring:
- A filled bottle of water – we recommend reusable!
- Tools: Please bring your own but we will be able to provide them as well. Appropriate tools are loppers, saws, pruners, and electric saws
- Sunscreen
