Join cultural preservationist and local historian Angela da Silva to learn about and hear stories of African-rooted water practices and water healing and take home your own ceremonial water. African and African American cosmology both have treated water with reverence and as sacred. This event will conclude with a memorial service for the enslaved people who sought their freedom at this very location along the Mississippi River.
