Tips and Tricks to Start Your Own Greenway Walking Book Club
Ever wanted to start your own Greenway Walking Book Club but can’t attend our current club on the St. Vincent Greenway? Here are some tips to start your own!
- Recruit interested participants. An ideal group size is about 6 to 8 participants.
- Host a kickoff meeting to vote on:
- Which days of the week and times work best
- Which books to read
- Which greenway(s) to walk
- A name for your greenway walking book club
- How the group prefers to communicate – email, text, etc.
- Contact Great Rivers Greenway at 314-436-7009 or info@grgstl.org to request a free Greenway Welcome Bag for each of your greenway walking book club members.
- On your greenway walk, mix casual socializing at the beginning or end with a focused discussion on the book.
