Project Overview
The first phase of the Hodiamont Greenway will be built in Gwen Giles Park located in the West End neighborhood at the intersection of the Hodiamont Tracks and Hodiamont Avenue near North Skinker in the City of St. Louis. This segment will connect to a new on-street cycle track (two-way roadway for bikes, separated from traffic) on Hodiamont Avenue being built by the City of St. Louis. In addition to the paved greenway trail along the old streetcar route, the project will include an expanded paved loop path around the park, as well as a trailhead and other potential amenities, driven by community feedback.

Current Status

Construction is underway! We look forward to opening this new park and segment of greenway for you in Spring 2027! Learn more about the Hodiamont Greenway Plan here.
We are working with the community to plan and design another segment of the Hodiamont Greenway between Goodfellow and Belt Avenue; learn more about that project here.
Invasive vegetation management and pothole surveying/repair will be happening along the site of the future Hodiamont Greenway to create a safer, more manageable corridor that will support future greenway development and long-term ecological improvements. This work will not require any street closures. For more information, check out our public notice here.
