Brickline Greenway: Gateway Mall, 20th St. to Gateway Arch
Project Overview
Great Rivers Greenway, along with community members and donors, are building a segment of the Brickline Greenway that will follow the Gateway Mall on Market Street between 20th and 4th Streets in Downtown St. Louis. This segment will enable people to connect on foot, by bicycle, stroller, and/or wheelchair to the businesses, employers, schools and other destinations along the way, including Union Station, St. Louis CITY SC’s CITYPARK stadium, CityGarden, Kiener Plaza, the Old Courthouse and the Gateway Arch.
It is generally anticipated that this section of Brickline Greenway will be located on the north side of Market Street, following the alignment and design character of the existing Brickline Greenway at St. Louis CITY SC’s CITYPARK Stadium between 20th and 22nd Streets to ensure consistency with other Brickline Greenway project areas. Specific design features will be determined in collaboration with various stakeholder groups and will be incorporated into the overall greenway project.
