Technology Plan

Technology is part of our daily lives. And it plays a role in the building and operating of greenways and parks, too. Knowing that, we want to ensure that it is implemented on the Brickline Greenway with thoughtful planning in mind, the result of research, community and partner input, and best practices.

The Brickline Greenway Technology Plan is a strategic guiding document that takes holistic approach to technology deployment, rooted in the project’s core needs and values, to maximize return on technology investments. It’s a guidebook for helping us navigate anything that may arise as the project unfolds. It asks and answers such questions as:

• Which greenway technologies should we invest in?
• How do these technologies address the needs of Great Rivers Greenway and the community we serve?
• How do we deploy these technologies successfully? How do we think about issues of physical infrastructure design,
  procurement, partnerships, and governance to maximize the value of these technologies, while minimizing risks?
