Brickline Greenway – Home

More than a path.
It's a pulse.

Discover how the Brickline Greenway is connecting St. Louis. Let’s imagine what a greenway can do for our city.

Picture a community space that transcends boundaries – a vibrant, open and welcoming network of paths and places that invite discovery and exploration while creating equitable opportunities for everyone to thrive. A visionary project shaped from the voices of the people who will use it each and every day. This is the Brickline Greenway.

Brickline Greenway is a major public-private partnership, with an anticipated total cost of $245 million.

$15 million will come from Great Rivers Greenway, which is funded through local sales tax dollars from a vote of the people. $75 million will come from other public funding sources, such as federal or state funds. $155 million will be raised from private, philanthropic donors.

As of Spring 2023, still in early stages of planning and design and before a fundraising campaign has even launched, the ambitious goal is already 31% funded:

– 100% of the local public investment is in place;
– 37% of the federal investment is secured;
– 21% of the philanthropic funding is already pledged or donated.

Great Rivers Greenway is working in tandem with dozens of partners to bring this project to life in the next 5-10 years.
