Community events:

• STLGBIM Program will send $500 a month for 18 months to families who need it the most. City residents with a child enrolled in St. Louis public or charter schools have a household income below 170% of the federal poverty level and have a household impacted by COVID-19 are eligible. • The Urban League Peter Bunce location has a meeting space for small groups and a gym-natorium for large groups. No set hours exist, and the Urban League can accommodate late meetings.

• In collaboration with the Urban League and Ameren, the Keeping Current program is available for those who need energy assistance. You can earn bill credits based on income eligibility, with past due balances being forgiven with on-time payments made over 12 months. • The Metropolitan St. Louis CRA association will be holding its pitch competition for small businesses at the Delmar Divine, 5535 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis, MO, 63112, in November. There will be a panel of judges, and businesses will pitch their ideas to win a $2,000 – $3,000 prize. Apply through Oct 27^th.

• The North Newstead Association will be holding a crime prevention summit. This program is done once a year. Topics are selected from key issues that are heard during other meetings. This year is about safety and our surroundings. This summit takes place Oct 28^th, 9 am-12 pm at the O’Fallon Park YMCA, 4343 W. Florissant Ave St. Louis MO, 63115.

• Project Connect is the six neighborhoods surrounding the new NGA campus. If anyone is interested in joining the committee, information on how to join will go around. https://www.developstlouis.org/projectconnect

• On Wednesday, November 29th, The Banner Art Working Group meets at 6 pm GRG, 3745 Foundry Way Suite 325, St. Louis, M0 63110
