Meet Jodi O’Toole

Posted on Friday February 6, 2026

St. Charles County resident Jodi O’Toole is an avid runner and cyclist who stacks up a lot of her training miles on the greenways. Right now, she’s prepping for the Dusty Pig Half Marathon on March 29. The run gets its name from the “pork chop” shaped 13.1-mile loop created by the Busch Greenway, Hamburg Trail and Katy Trail. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Great Rivers Greenway Foundation.

“The greenways and the Katy Trail are my happy places. I live near the Dardenne Greenway at Bluebird Meadow in St. Charles County and spend a lot of time there. I’ve explored nearly all the greenways from Boschert to the Mississippi Greenway, and Fee Fee to Gravois Greenway. Visiting all of them has not only let me enjoy new scenery and wildlife but also stay connected to the wide variety of communities in our area. Whenever I have a stressful day, I head outside for a run or bike ride and I always feel better. I’ve run the “pork chop”—in both directions—several times. I think it’s a rite of passage for all area runners to complete a pork chop loop! It’s got everything—sun, shade, hills, different terrain, and beautiful scenery. I encourage people to challenge themselves and join us on March 29th. It’s a fun and unique run that benefits the greenways!”
