Meet Dr. Bernard DuBray

Posted on Wednesday February 26, 2025

Dr. Bernard DuBray was appointed as one of three St. Charles County representatives to the Great Rivers Greenway Board in May 2009. He is the former superintendent of the Fort Zumwalt School District and spent more than 55 years as a teacher, coach, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent. He is also head of the search committee to find a new CEO to replace retiring CEO Susan Trautman. He explains why he has chosen to share his time and expertise as a board member:

“Great Rivers Greenway is the best example of regional cooperation that I can think of. In 2000, the people of the region voted to pay a one tenth cent sales tax to build all the beautiful, paved greenway trails and trailheads to connect our region. With 135 miles completed to date, there is still much more to come. I am happy to serve on this board alongside my colleagues from St. Louis City and St. Louis County as we work together to make the St. Louis region an even better place to live, work and play.”
