25 years ago, people voted to invest in a vision for a vibrant region connected by greenway trails. With 140 miles (and counting!), Great Rivers Greenway wants to celebrate our community’s vision, the progress to date, and 25 years of turning input into impact with YOU.
Great Rivers Greenway has planned anniversary celebrations big and small throughout the summer and fall. Check out all that’s happening below and join in!

The Great Gather Round
On Monday, September 15th, from 4:30-7:00 pm, we're shutting down DeBaliviere Circle around the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park (at the St. Vincent Greenway) to host a 1,500-foot community dinner table, local DJs, free mini cupcakes from SweetArt, local food trucks (or bring your own feast), and fun for all ages!

Civic Panel with FOCUS St. Louis
During this panel, taking place in November, both national and local experts will discuss “The Civic Power of Greenways: 25 Years of Trust, Trails & Transformation”.

Collaborative Art Initiative with RAC
St. Louis’ Regional Arts Commission (RAC) is marking their 40th anniversary this year. To celebrate, we're partnering up to work with RAC’s Community Arts Training (CAT) Cohort program to develop two events celebrating and supporting the arts in St. Louis: Mark your calendars for an arts and wellness festival along St. Vincent Greenway in St. Vincent Park on September 13 and an arts and community resources festival along the Mississippi Greenway on September 27.
