Mighty Mississippi

The Mississippi Greenway traces the Mississippi River that forms the foundation of our community in the St. Louis region. There are several ways that you can better connect with the Mississippi River in 2020.

Great Rivers Greenway is hosting a series of 2020 events for you to explore and enjoy the Mighty Mississippi on the Mississippi Greenway!

  • Eagle Days – January 18 & 19 at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge
  • Confluence Trash Bash – March 21 at multiple locations in the Mississippi River watershed (cancelled due to covid-19)
  • Get to Know the Mississippi Greenway – April 4 at the Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing (cancelled due to covid-19)
  • Groovin’ on the Mississippi Greenway – April 26 at Cliff Cave County Park (cancelled due to covid-19)
  • 18th Annual Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing Celebration – May 9 at the Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing (cancelled due to covid-19)
  • Groovin’ on the Mississippi Greenway – June 7 at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge (cancelled due to covid-19)
  • Get to Know the Mississippi Greenway – October 3 at Cliff Cave County Park (cancelled due to covid-19)
  • Life Outside Festival – October 10 at the Gateway Arch National Park (cancelled due to covid-19)
