Winter Cleanup with the Open Space Council in the Meramec Greenway
December 9, 2017 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Help the Open Space Council celebrate their 50th Annual Operation Clean Stream by joining us for a winter clean up on Saturday, December 9th and Sunday, December 10th. We’ll be working in wooded areas to locate trash and debris, dig tires and appliances from muddy areas, and haul items to dumpsters. This event will help improve open space in the Meramec Watershed. Please join us!
Work gloves will be provided and volunteers should bring a shovel if they have one. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. A picnic lunch will be served after the clean up each day. Camping chairs are recommended for your comfort!
Volunteers should be 18 years or older. Space is limited. RSVP is required. You can volunteer for one day or both days. The clean ups will be from 9am-noon.
Check in and registration is at 9am. Carpools will be necessary as this site has limited parking.
Event sponsors and supporters include Great Rivers Greenway District, St. Louis County Parks, Missouri Stream Team, Metropolitan Sewer District, and more! Visit the facebook event page here.
