We hit another milestone on the St. Vincent Greenway in Wellston earlier this month! Four custom-fabricated concrete pieces weighing thousands of pounds each were set in Engelholm Creek to form a box culvert. (A culvert is a tunnel carrying a stream under a road.) The greenway will be built on top of the culvert, parallel to Plymouth Ave. Because the creek flows under the street at an angle, each piece of concrete also had to be skewed to accommodate the course of the water. High five to the crane operator & crew who set these heavy concrete structures into place like a jigsaw puzzle!
