This project will extend the existing Maline Greenway in Bella Fontaine Park to West Florissant Avenue near the Urban League’s Ferguson Community Empowerment Center.
Project Location:
Thanks to our partners and the input from community members, we’ve finalized the route between Bella Fontaine Park and West Florissant Ave. When this section is built in the future, people can walk and bike to Bella Fontaine Park and the West Florissant Ave. commercial district, and other nearby places:
- Urban League’s Ferguson Community Empowerment Center
- Boys and Girls Club
- Mercy Clinic
- Grocery
- Pharmacies
- Bus Stops

Current Status:
Planning has wrapped up! Thank you to everyone who shared their ideas and opinions about the future Maline Greenway. We received feedback from hundreds of neighbors between November 2022 and July 2023 to help finalize the route for this greenway, which is shown in the images below. The final recommended route follows the utility corridor, providing a unique greenway experience and connecting area residents to parks, schools, transit, and community destinations. The next steps will be to create design and construction documents, beginning in 2024. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026.
