BIKE WITH YOUR BOOTS ON & CLEAN GREENWAY

The River des Peres Watershed Coalition needs interested volunteers on June 15 to participate in Bike with Your Boots On event along River des Peres Greenway for some citizen science water quality monitoring! In addition, RdPWC will host a cleanup of the Adopt-A-Greenway section of River des Peres Greenway in the north and south portions of Fultz Field.

Meet at the Fultz Field parking lot, River des Peres Blvd. St. Louis

Water Quality Monitoring 9 – 11 am

Litter pickup 11:30 am – 1 pm

Trained water quality monitors will collect water quality monitoring data from sites and can offer opportunities for new trainees or interested citizens to observe.

No experience in water quality testing is required but everyone must wear a bike helmet if bike riding. Volunteers can choose to bike ride on the Greenway trail or drive directly to the monitoring sites. Please bring a water bottle to keep hydrated and be prepared for the possibility of getting your feet wet. Neither bikes nor boots are required to participate.

Bags and gloves will be provided for the litter pickup.

RSVP to chair@riverdesperes.org  if you are interested and indicate which activity you want to participate in!
