RFQ: Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Services – Q&A

Question 1: Does GRG have their own servers or do they run their services through the city or county servers?

Answer: GRG uses its own server

 

Question 2: How many hours are available for the consultant to work?

Answer: GRG has not established a set number of hours or budget for the GIS consultant.  Following consultant selection GRG will negotiate scope, schedule and fee to determine what services should be conducted through the end of 2018.

 

Question 3: Will the consultant work on-site at GRG or off-site from the consultant’s facility?

Answer: GRG anticipates the consultant will primarily work off-site from the consultant’s facility/office.  However, GRG has a strong preference for collaboration between staff and its consultants and therefore expects frequent communication via in-person meetings, phone conversations and/or Internet virtual meetings.

 

Question 4: For printed maps, does the GRG provide the printer and ink or does the consultant provide printer and ink?

Answer: GRG has its own printers and plotter and does not expect printing to be the consultant’s responsibility.

 

Question 5: Is there a specific budget for the tasks outlined in the Scope of Work?

Answer: GRG has not established a set number of hours or budget for the GIS consultant.  Following consultant selection GRG will negotiate scope, schedule and fee to determine what services should be conducted through the end of 2018.

 

Question 6: Is there a specific schedule for the tasks outlined in the Scope of Work?

Answer: Following consultant selection GRG will negotiate scope, schedule and fee to determine what services should be conducted through the end of 2018.  However, GRG expects the consultant to commence work as soon as both parties agree upon a contract.

 

Question 7: Is there a page limit for submissions?

Answer: GRG has not set a page limit for the qualification submissions.  Submission requirements are clearly listed in the RFQ and consultants are strongly encouraged to adhere to these requirements without including superfluous or irrelevant information.

 

Question 8: Is there a main point of contact the GIS consultant will be working with at GRG, or various staff members/contacts GRG?

Answer: The GIS consultant will work with a number of GRG staff members through the duration of the contract but the main point of contact is expected to be Mark Vogl, Project Manager, Planning.

 

Question 9: Is there a file size or PDF page size limit on submissions?

Answer: GRG’s web site can accept file sizes up to 50MB.
