Walk to the Wharf Lunchtime Concert Series
August 13, 2015 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Every Thursday, May 28 through September 24th, you are invited to “Walk to the Wharf” to grab lunch and listen to live music on the newly reopened Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd. The event will take place near the base of the Grand Staircase and feature different live music and a variety of activities and food trucks each week.
The featured performer this week is Joe Mancuso:
“Joe Mancuso is an award winning Jazz Vocalist from St. Louis, Missouri. He has a powerful, dynamic baritone voice with some tenor range. His phrasing is exciting, fresh, unique and swinging. He sings with an abundance of intensity and raw energy, yet with complete control.” For more info about Joe Mancuso, visit his website here.
Walk to the Wharf also give those walking from downtown a chance to reconnect with the Old Cathedral and Gateway Arch grounds and see the improvements as work continues on the Arch grounds. If you are on a tight schedule or need transportation options, take our free Laclede’s Landing-Arch Shuttle. The shuttle runs every 20 minutes from 11am to 7 pm with stops at the entrance to the Arch grounds at Leonor K. Sullivan, the Old Cathedral, the Old Courthouse and Laclede’s Landing.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT IS WEATHER DEPENDENT AND MAY BE CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN OR FLOODING.

You can access the Arch Grounds on bicycle via Walnut Avenue near the Old Cathedral. You will have to park your bike at the top of the stairs or roll/carry it down the Grand Staircase. You can also ride your bike to the Riverfront if you enter via Chouteau Avenue from the south. Please note that the north end of Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd. is temporarily closed due to the CityArchRiver construction, so you will be unable to ride your bike from Laclede’s Landing; you will have to detour through downtown to Walnut Avenue. This event is accessible by Metrobus via Walnut Avenue.
During construction, you will need to use the 8th and Pine Metrolink Station and then walk to the Arch Grounds. You will not be able to access Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd. via the Laclede’s Landing Metrolink Station due to CityArchRiver Construction. Click here for directions.
You can park in one of the preferred parking garages downtown and walk to the Riverfront via Walnut Street. (Click here for all of the preferred parking garages in downtown St. Louis.) Note that the Riverfront is not accessible by wheelchair if you enter near the Old Cathedral because you must travel down the Grand Staircase in front of the Arch in order to get to the Riverfront. You can wait for the Laclede’s Landing Shuttle at the Old Courthouse or on Walnut Street across from the Old Cathedral. It operates between 11 a.m. and 7 pm, seven days a week. The shuttle is wheelchair accessible and will drop you off on the Riverfront.
