Chain of Rocks Park Opening Celebration

Join us for the new Chain of Rocks Park Opening Celebration on the Missouri side of the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge. The celebration will include music, food, and community activities for all ages. Don’t miss your chance to see this new park on the Mississippi Greenway for yourself!

Free activities for all ages:
Group bike ride (5 miles) with Trailnet – begins at Chouteau Island Trailhead at 1pm – Sign up for the group bike ride
Zine making with Simiya Sudduth (artist who created new mural at Chain of Rocks Park) – 2-4pm
Yoga with Yoga Buzz – 2:45-3:45pm
Canoe Trip with Big Muddy Adventures- 2:45-3:45 (ages 10 and up; must be accompanied by adult)- SOLD OUT!

(At 2:45pm walk from Chain of Rocks Park across bridge to Chouteau Island. Get in canoes at Chouteau Island and paddle to North Riverfront Park. Ends at North Riverfront Park.)
MO History Museum guided tour – 2:45-3:15pm
Adoptable dogs from CARE STL – 2-4pm
Photobooth – 2-4pm

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT PARKING FOR THE APRIL 14 CELEBRATION!  Bicycle parking available will be available at Chain of Rocks Park (10840 Riverview Dr, STL MO 63137), but there will be no vehicle parking allowed that day.  Vehicle parking IS available in North Riverfront Park (About 1.5 mile  south of Chain of Rocks Park at 10100 Riverview Dr, STL MO 63137) There will be a free bus shuttle to the opening celebration or you can walk on the greenway.  You can also park on the Illinois side of the bridge and walk across the bridge to the celebration.  To get to the bridge, from the Illinois side take I-270 and exit at IL Route 3, go south to Chain of Rocks Road and follow west to the bridge entrance parking area.
