Give Back to the Greenways at Trojan Park

We are looking for volunteers to help us care for Trojan Park in Wellston. This beloved neighborhood park is located along the St. Vincent Greenway at the soutwest corner of North Skinker Parkway and Etzel Avenue in the City of Wellston. Volunteers will help us with a variety of stewardship and maintenance projects including weeding the native landscaping, litter pickup within the park as well as along the surrounding streets.
Volunteers should wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. This event will be held rain or shine unless there is severe weather and/or lightening. Be sure to dress for the weather. Great Rivers Greenway will provide water, snacks, gloves and tools. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle to reduce waste.

Take the St. Vincent Greenway!
Busses #97 and #90 will take you directly to the Ruth Porter Mall trailhead. You can also take busses #2, #16, or #91 to the Delmar Loop Metro Station and you will be within walking distance to the greenway and Trojan Park.
You can use the Delmar Station and connect to Trojan Park via St. Vincent Greenway (1.87 mile walk). You can also exit at the Wellston Station and walk East on Plymouth Avenue, south on Stephen Jones Avenue, and east on Etzel to Trojan Park.(.75 mile walk).
There is some on-street parking on Etzel or Stephen Jones Avenue.
