The Chouteau Greenway Competition Jury wants to hear from you!

Great Rivers Greenway, along with many partners, is holding a design competition to envision the CHOUTEAU GREENWAY – a transformational project to connect Forest Park to the Arch, with spurs north and south to connect our city’s vibrant neighborhoods, parks, business and arts districts, employment centers, transit and dozens of cultural and educational institutions together.

The jury wants to hear from you how each concept addressed the project goals. Your feedback is welcome April 6-22!

We’ll have the concepts on display at several locations around town. Just find a location close to you, drop by and check out what the design teams have put together. Or come to one of our staffed events. Surveys will be available at each location so that you can provide your honest feedback. Everything is also available online here.

The jury will evaluate the concepts how they address the Design and Community Goals based upon:

  • Deliverables from the Team: Exhibit boards, full design report, presentation to the jury
  • Advisory Reports: Responses from Community Advisory Committee, Technical Advisory Group
and Design Oversight Committee (the partners listed below)
  • Community Input: Please check out the boards, reports and/or presentations and fill out a survey!

Additional information about each viewing site, including hours and address, can be found below the calendar.

Please make plans to join us April 10 for the Chouteau Greenway Community Kickoff event at The Sheldon in the Grand Center Arts District. Stop by anytime between 4:30 to 7pm to learn more, give your input and celebrate the project. Project partners will give brief remarks at 5 and 6pm. Light refreshments and cash bar provided, free parking and bike valet.

And be sure to mark your calendar for April 25! That’s the day each of the teams will present their concepts to the jury. The event will take place at Harris-Stowe State University and will be live streamed on Facebook. Stay tuned for additional details.
