The Great Rivers Greenway District (District), the Developer, is soliciting sealed bids for demolition of improvements at 572 Yarnell Rd. in St. Louis County, Missouri.

The suggested method of submitting bids is electronically. Bids may be submitted electronically until 3:00 pm prevailing Central time, July 1, 2020 via the Bid Express website at bidexpress.com. All electronic bidders must register with Bid Express to obtain a digital ID. BidExpress has indicated it could take up to 5 business days to process the digital ID.

GRG will open bids on the date and time indicated above. All documents necessary to submit a bid will be available on the bidexpress.com website including plans, specifications, and bid packages beginning June 3, 2020 at Bid Express.

Sealed hard copy bids will also be accepted and may be submitted at the offices of The Great Rivers Greenway District, 3745 Foundry Way, Suite 253, St. Louis, MO 63110 until 3:00 PM prevailing Central time, July 1, 2020, and will be publicly opened and read aloud in the GRG Conference Room on the date and time indicated above.

A 5% Bid Security in the form specified in the bidding documents is required. Participation Goals for the project are 25% MBE and 5% WBE. The District reserves the right to waive informalities in bids, and to reject any and all bids submitted.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 9 AM prevailing Central time at 572 Yarnell Road, Fenton, MO 63026.

Scope of Work:
Great Rivers Greenway (GRG) is seeking qualified demolition contractors to completely dismantle or demolish any and all structures, foundations, footings, wells, existing buildings, pavement and canopies on the site and remove all material and debris therefrom. Any salvageable material found at the time of bid award shall be and become the property of the Contractor. Contractors are instructed to identify all items of value and locate suitable buyers for those items. Revenue from the sale or use of salvageable items shall be considered in the bid to reduce the cost of the demolition contract to GRG.

General Property Description:
572 Yarnell Road, St. Louis County, Missouri 63026 is a two-story residential property with second story porch and no out buildings. A variety of loose items are located on the property and are to be removed as
well during demolition.

Successful Bidder shall be required to comply in all respects with applicable statutory provisions concerning payment of prevailing wages on public works, Sections 290.210 through 290.340RSMo., as currently amended, and shall pay to all workmen performing under work contract not less than prevailing hourly rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri.

Successful Bidder shall be required to enroll and participate in a federal work authorization program pursuant to Sections 285.525 and 285.530 RSMo. The Successful Bidder shall be required to submit an affidavit along with appropriate documentation evidencing its enrollment in such federal work authorization program with respect to its employees.

The Successful Bidder shall be required to provide a Certificate of Insurance in accordance with Section 9 of General Conditions of Contract for Demolition Services (Form 5), which Certificate of Insurance shall name Metropolitan Park and Recreation District d/b/a Great Rivers Greenway District as an additional insured.
