Seasonal Field Staff for Summer 2017

Great  Rivers Greenway, your regional parks and trails district, is seeking several Seasonal Field Staff. The seasonal staff perform greenway operations and maintenance work throughout St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and St. Charles County under the direction of the Greenway Operations Supervisor. These positions are supported in part by a partnership with CityArchRiver Foundation and a portion of the work will be completed in collaboration with partner organizations including City of St. Louis Parks and Streets staff, landscape contractors and volunteers. Duties include landscape care, facility maintenance, and conservation project work. We will continue hiring until all positions are filled.

Full time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2017

Project Opportunities with Great Rivers Greenway:

CONSTRUCTION BID: CHOUTEAU GREENWAY CONSTRUCTION
(Boyle Avenue to Sarah Avenue at Cortex)

SUBMITTAL DUE DATE: May 25th, 2017, 2:00 p.m.

Bi-State Development (Metro), in collaboration with Great Rivers Greenway, Cortex, BJC and Washington University Medical Center, is soliciting construction firms to build the first section of Chouteau Greenway within the Cortex Innovation Community in the City of St. Louis. This project is part of a larger project to construct a new MetroLink Station at Cortex and expand the existing Central West End MetroLink station.

The project is officially listed as “Boyle Avenue/Central West End MetroLink Station – Facilities”. While we are a partner on this project, and it is constructing one of our greenways, Bi-State Development is the one holding the contract and questions should be directed to them throughout their process.

Great Rivers Greenway is soliciting bids from firms competent in commercial or industrial painting to perform graffiti removal and if needed painting over the graffiti on the Iron Horse Trestle bridge over Interstate 70 in downtown St. Louis.  Firm should be competent in operating aerial lifts and working in hazardous conditions.  Firm should be capable of performing welding services or have the ability to subcontract a firm competent in welding to prevent future unwanted pedestrian access on the Trestle above the Interstate. Great Rivers Greenway is seeking a Design Manager/Design Competition Manager to provide four distinct, but interrelated, tasks:
1. Data Collection and Coordination including site analysis, coordination with relevant agencies and stakeholders, and recording of all findings and determinations into a Design Program appropriate for a Design Competition Process
2. Authorship and Implementation of a Design Competition Process to explore potential design concepts for the selected area of exploration
3. Management of the approved Design Competition Process, and
4. Coordination and Facilitation of Design Workshop(s) between the selected Design Team (identified through the Competition), Great Rivers Greenway and stakeholders with the goal of refining and developing a final Design Concept to guide future implementation of Chouteau Greenway within Great Rivers Greenway’s River Ring network of greenways.
